Welcome to our Simple Holiday Gift Bag in which we give gifts away to our readers. We are giving away one each day through December 22. All the info is below. Happy Holidays!

Description: Just like *Jonathan Adler*, she threw her first pot at summer camp when she was 14. Now she's gone pro. Alyssa Ettinger's lovely knitwear cups are porcelain and perfect for everything from espresso to saki, and can be used as votive holders as well. Oh, and they're dishwasher safe. (Note: Winner will receive two cups with their choice of patterns (large knit, small knit, small cable), and choice of colors (cream, unglazed, celery, slate blue)).

AT GIFT BAG 2006

Welcome to our first NON-contest, totally simple giveaway of cool design gifts in order to enrich our readers and give some great shops props. This is how it works:

Jessica, i dig your bath. what is the texture on the walls? i have some rough drywall that i don't want to replace right now before i paint and finish the tile and that texure might be a solution.

Ironically, I think I read somewhere that she and Adler were actually at the same summer camp when they both learned ceramics.

For the texture on the bathroom walls, my boyfriend and I simply troweled on joint compound in random swirls and made "organic forms." He advises using a thin coat and to not focus in one spot but, instead, take in the wall as a whole. I hope you try it out because it's pretty hard to screw up and the end result will be much nicer lookin' than crappy drywall (which also happens to be the reason why we chose texture). Good luck!

I got the toilet seat at Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago about 2 years ago. Vendors come and go at fairs like Renegade and I haven't seen the toilet seat lady back since I bought it. Sorry, I can't remember her name either.
