Gem or Junk? 1969 Chaise Chair for $400

Chair? Chaise? Couch? If you are seriously lacking in commitment, you could do no better than to consider this 1969 chaise lounge chair, which holds the unique distinction of teetering between good and awful. With fabulous Liberace fabric, tassles galore and a shape that would leave any living room wondering, we question the buyer who takes this home, or do we? Is this a gem, or is it junk (or is it simply overpriced?). MGR

I think a clever marketing mind has dubbed it a "chaise lounge chair", when in fact, I think it's a "half a sofa."

still can't make myself call ANY piece of furniture "junk" though. :(

wow, I think it's beautiful. the shape's interesting and lends itself to small corners. and the color... I have a thing for Byzantine art and gold leaf, and the foofy gold and tassles strike a chord with me. that said, I appreciate as artwork but probably wouldn't want it in my apt.
