Ugh. An example of someone who actually Saw Seaman's First.
Very not hot.

Two opinions on this one - consulted my little sister. We both recoiled in shock. Definitely NOT.

That chair is SO ugly...even my mom wouldn't own that chair. (And my mom's couch is pretty ugly itself!)

Okay, I will be the lone voice of sympathy...
while not "hot", it (or at least the picture of it) is way too down-and-out-muppet, and/or Charlie Brown's Christmas tree to deserve such animosity. Somebody loved this chair. Somebody still might.

Tar and feathers would improve that, so would gasoline and a match.
Not hot until I light it.

I think the shape is endearing, and it looks pretty well constructed. It just needs a little re-upholstering--the fabric really is hideous.

I like it. I'm no professional designer, but people as a rule, tend to like the spaces I live and congregate there. I feel that it's important to have at least one piece of ugly (I have a green lamp in my living room shaped like a horse's head). I think it makes you look as if you're not trying too hard (like the un-tucked shirt). This is, admittedly, a big piece of ugly, but it could work in a very large space.
