An Ikea favorite as seen on MANY episodes of Changing Rooms and Trading Spaces...

I just noted today how suggestible these polls are - I was about to pick 'hot' for the chair, when I saw most people thought 'not' so I immediately didn't like it that much. Sure, some things are easier to classify than others...but don't you think that this would look great in amongst some good woodern furniture, or in a blue bedroom?

I voted "no" as to hot but fun is another matter. I had an opportunity to watch my small, elderly (but don't tell her that!) mother slither into one of those chairs at IKEA and do some amazing contortions trying to get off it (it's slippery fabric). Don't worry - I'm not a horribly child - I did give her a hand out, but I am a product of her delightfully sick humor and we enjoyed the moment. ;^ )

Hot! I considered getting 2 of these chairs for my (covered) patio a while back when I was going for another look than I currently have. Really great low, wide lines and the metallic copper color is so ridiculously cool. A very stylish, low-budget option for seating. Hipster, lounge-vibe for a few bucks. How can you go wrong?

Ugh. Another IKEA cheapie... Fine for any part of your house that you don't take too seriously, but pretty hideous otherwise. What is with design shows that put this sort of thing in someone's living room?

This chair was on Debbie Travis's Facelift just last night. I thought it was cute, but kind of naked looking and screamed cheap IKEA chic.

Tried these out at IKEA....like many furnishings at IKEA they aren't really comfortable or sturdy.

I should waste scant living room space on a cute-but-uncomfortable chair WHY?
Oh. Looks. That's great for Design-on-Pocket-Change-and-Lint shows, where happiness doesn't have to last past the final reveal. Pour moi, I prefer chairs that are comfortable to sit in.

I remember the first time these chairs were on Trading Spaces - Doug used them in a movie theater type room in the silver color. They didn't work for that family, and they don't work for me!!
Just a little too low to the ground and that copper color is hideous!

I voted "not" because I think this was a huge Ikea mistake. A friend of mine had the silver version, and I chose the floor over sitting on it. But, I hate how everyone disses Ikea..not everything that comes out of there is bad...it's all what you do with it. I have a chair from there (bent wood armless easy chair) that everyone goes nuts over...and I see stuff for lots of $ that are about the same as things at Ikea for 1/10 the price. Anyway, my two cents...

I've not sat in these, but I like the lines. Yes, they are Ikea; yes, they've been on Trading Spaces, etc.
If they're not comfortable, though, they're not worth a single cent. BUT I DO like the lines.
