Not exactly hot, but I do know exactly who I would give it to -- my godfather the rancher has mudroom with nowhere to sit while you take of your boots, and his daughter, my best friend, has an apartment here in NYC that could use a stool (and a funny reminder of work on the ranch).

seems that "Not" nearly always wins on these surveys...

In the context of those baseboards, etc., that stool is looking like it's from hunger.

I keep coming back to this stool... I've seen things kind of like this at "design" stores and model homes around here... maybe a different color seat... I don't like it, but I keep thinking I'm supposed to.

I like it. It's sculptural, retro and modern in equal parts. And these seats are remarkably comfortable.

(perfect in the corner of a bathroom, or tucked near a closet for pulling on shoes...)

my in-laws, who own a farm, have an item like this in their yard.
i really love the shape of the seat - don't get me wrong. the stuff that patrick said was absolutely true. i just don't like the shape/composition of the hardware attached to the seat. i think it's fine in terms of use, but not visually... it doesn't quite go with the seat section. i'm not really sure what else i'd put there, though. perhaps i'd like to see it all one color, whether it's silver or off-white.
