apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

this post leads me to ask about vanities, which i've been obsessing over for weeks. i want one so badly, but they all fall short of my danish modern-leaning aesthetic, like the one pictured.
anyone seen any beauties out there - new or old?

With a re-upholstered seat and in the right room with the right bunch of other stuff, it could be sensational.

I agree, it just needs a new seat cushion and a new setting.

Brandy -- I was also once on a vanity-quest and did see a few that would match well with Dansih modern furniture. They were simpler than the one above, and made with blonde birch wood. One was more of a dresser (no seat) but it had an interesting design where the drawers were in the middle of the (xtra large) round mirror. Unfortunately for me, that one was selling for $10,000. I'm sure there are more modern ones out there for a better price though.

I just now noticed the price. For that price, it's REALLY hot. Because for that you can afford to splurge on very, very nice reupholstering of the seat.

i just had to look at the comments to see why so many people voted not for this vanity. i am happy to see that so far the comments are positive. as everyone has said reupholster the seat and you're ready to primp.
