Looks like a bamboo kNOT.

Besides, anyone who wants to play with molded plywood (bamboo or otherwise), has some very big shoes to fill:

from the front, low but beautiful, the sides I agree are a bit messy. It could use another wrap around the top, just to clean it up a bit.

I do not know how this man makes a living...or manages to sell even a single piece at such absurd prices. You need to collaborate with someone to design this?

not his best work. great head on...but from the sides the "strap" cuts seem off to me. would have liked to see them extended for an even cleaner look.

I voted hot, I kind of liked it, you know. Looking at it again and again, I wish some of the roughness was smoother. The ends do stop short and clip off awkwardly, and I'd like to see the long edges not quite so distinct.
