if you combine two together as shown, it can be multi-functional---coffee table by day, then throw a dog cushion in there at night and you have a crate for your pooch...

My parents had a tablecloth with that can pattern (that scale, too!) when I was kid back in the '70's. Hated it then; hate it now.
