Hot or Not? Funny Bones Skull Rug from FLOR

10-3-funny-bones-1.jpg

There's a chill in the fall air and FLOR just announced their new Funny Bones area rug "for a little ghoulish finesse anytime of the year..."

Funny Bones Rug is comprised of nine tiles and costs $130 from FLOR.

Would you use Funny Bones year-round? (We like the use of it in the bedroom photo, above).

Just for halloween. I know some people that would like it year round though.

Not even for Halloween. I tend to avoid home decor that looks like it could have been purchased at Hot Topic.

I have no problem with skulls, but these are so poorly executed. The skulls look so muddy and get lost next to teh super-graphic striped. Maybe it would be better wall-to-wall, and without the border?

right down the middle you can see the pattern doesn't line up. that would annoy me. i also agree with a prior comment, the skulls look muddy, and the bold stripes don't go well.

I saw a skull-covered martini set in Pottery Barn. They have become too mainstream and are now played out.

I almost like it, but the way the stripes are so much bolder and the skulls don't line up ruins it for me. Plus I have no idea where I would put it... although a runner version of it might be cute in the hall for a Halloween party.
