I wouldn't want my home to look like that, but off-the-wall hotel rooms can be fun for a night. This is like a cross between Pierre Cardin's "Dr. No" lair on the Riviera and a film set for Alice in Wonderland.

While I wouldn't want to live in it, I think many of us love the idea of a really unique, fantastic experience when we are away from home. I could throw a GREAT party in that space. :)

I honestly like it. It's not my home so fine. I wouldn't mind staying here. Very cartoony.

Survey says there are as many people with bad taste as there are with good taste. At printing it is 3 and 3.

It's not camp, it's not Miami retro, it just plain cheesy.

I guess the Mad Hatter tea service is in the next room.

Not my thing, but a master class on the use of difficult blues.

what exactly is in tables? sponge? Is it an underwater theme?

I'd like it for a short stay...great for a hotel party...but it would make me feel crazy after awhile.

I like it! I think it would be fun to stay in a room like this for a night or two.

If I walked into someone's house and it looked like this I would not jump to think they had good taste.

But I think this would be a FUN place to stay for a few nights.

Is this style called "silly sophisticated"? I don't like it ... even for a night ... I prefer a sleeker, more relaxing space ... this thing looks like a Cirque du Soleil set.

Survey response doesn;t seem to be working.

I would NEVER want to live here, but fun for a quick stay. A refreshing change from all the "boutique" hotels in vogue that all look like West Elm cover shots.

It kind of looks like an upscale version of those crazy Japanese love hotels with the off-the-wall themes. Where's the bondage platform? (Sorry for going there).

Like the colors. Like the carpet. The chairs are too much.

Click212. It's all very well to criticize the room but do you really have to criticize other people's tastes?

This picture is of the lounge area! Of course it's going to look like this. I wouldn't mind having an overpriced cocktail there. The actual hotel rooms seem really cool but as usual, they have really bad art on the walls. *sigh*

It looks like the Honeymoon Suite at the Eden Roc, circa 1988 in "Married to the Mob"

After all is said and done, this hotel is visual pollution.

Glorious excess is great in small doses.

It's totally wacky and I could never have this in my own house, but as a getaway place, it rocks. If I were a gazillionaire hotel owner maybe I wouldn't mind redoing this in like 2 months when it would become dated, but the blue and cozy cocoon like chairs and atmosphere are awesome!

I wish I had the guts to do this in my living room! Call me crazy people, but I really dig it!! If I can be transported to a place out of the ordinary everyday... I think that'd be something special!

For a hotel, lounge, or anything like that I think it's great! Definitely, gives people something to talk about...while sipping a cocktail!

It actually hurts my head just looking at it. I love that big blue throne though, that would do for my dining room!

Doesn't work. Stuff like this clearly indicates that the "bold color/luxurious" trend has jumped way over the shark. It has mutated from new and sophisticated to garish, impractical, and strange. Like bad plastic surgery.
