When will AT stop posting 2007 reruns?

It seems every time I come here I see a rerun.

I love you all, but I'm so dissapointed of what this site has turned into. I can't make sense of anything anymore and there's too many ads, tags, related links, it's the opposite of the original philosophy of making MORE with LESS.

*sighs*

I'm so sorry to say this, because I really love the site, but I have to agree....I'm really confused as to what's going on. Are you going to recap one month each day? I don't really get it. I mean, it's interesting to see which questions were most searched for, and which house tours were most popular, etc., but I don't see why all of that stuff couldn't have been put into one big year end round up post instead of a ton of smaller posts. It makes it very hard to search for any new content (is there any?) and there's no indication as to when it will end. I'm assuming it'll take twelve days? If there was some kind of explanation as to what's being done, I definitely missed it in all the clutter. Sorry guys, I know you're trying, I'm just looking forward to the end of these crazy round up posts and the return to normal posting.

Settle down, people. AT needs a break every once in a while, and clearly they are on auto-pilot during the holidays. They've earned it!

Nevertheless, I am liking this re-cap; I'm discovering things that I missed the first time around.

I don't mind the reruns, but I miss the open thread chit chat.

With most sites I follow taking vacations or doing tedious year-end reviews, it's an excellent time to catch up on other reading and around-the-house projects. I expect to have a clean stack of work reading and all my saved articles filed by the end of next week.

I don't disagree that they deserve to take a break, and I do like seeing some things that have been covered highlighted again (I loved that post from yesterday that featured the shower curtain made from Tord Boontje's Until Dawn panels...LOVED IT), it was just that all of a sudden the site was inundated with posts and it wasn't quite clear how they were structured or what was going on.

I know I'm being nitpicky, I don't mean to be, the whole place just felt a little cluttered all of a sudden!

Wende,

You are by far, the most diplomatic poster on AT. Must be a middle child.

i am more or less enjoying the reruns, and the current format is just reminding me how happy i am to have daily free apt therapy all the rest of the year!

Well, I am happy to see that there are people who either like or at least don't mind the reruns. That means that AT still has an audience. For me though, AT has changed so much over the last year, that I no longer feel that the format and content are as worthwhile for me. For example, it now includes more craft-centered postings, especially in the Chicago content. While I like crafts, I think that there are much better sites for crafts, such as Craftster and Digs Magazine. And, I really find the rerun scheme - which includes all the boards - to be truly annoying. So, as I said, I'm happy for Maxwell that AT still attracts many persons to the site - I'm just not one of them.
