More on Vertical or Horizontal?

It's great if one can go without deodorant and still smell squeaky clean. I worked for someone who didn't use deodorant and figured his wife would tell him if he needed it. Uhm, this is the same wife he said couldn't smell skunk when the dog got in a tangle with one. The man needed deodorant!
My wife can smell the neigbor's cigar, 4 houses down. She gives me sh1t, but confirms I don't need it.
But if that guy ever stops smoking, you're screwed.
I've intentionally stayed out of these deodorant threads, but now feel like I need to stand up and be counted. To stand in solidarity with (the wrongfully persecuted) Jon B!
Some people don't have a strong or discernible body odor. I'm one of those people. So, I don't use deodorant. And I've asked several different trusted people in my life if I smell (people who will tell me if I have bad breath, parsley between my teeth, an open fly, etc). And they have told me unequivocally that I am "unscented" (though my breath can be questionable on rare occasion).
So call Mr. Ripley... Some people--some of them men--don't need deodorant. Believe it. Or not.
