There have been recent questions about free, downloadable programs for creating furniture layouts online. And we just received a tip-off from Pixie directing us to just that: Furnish is a free program that allows the user to create a space based on real dimensions, input furniture, and arrange it in 3D.
A 3D model can be helpful in helping to visualize furniture layout before putting actual physical effort into it!! Thanks, Pixie. (via Lifehacker) -regina

only it's not mac compatible :(
Lourdes - I didn't test it out - I have a Mac at home too - waah.
I may be wrong, but isn't this the same program Bo Concept uses to provide their layouts ?
How about SketchUp which is owned by Google now? There should be some free packages available out there that have prebuilt furniture.
pixie - and what's even sadder is i researched it and even posted the question here on AT and there doesn't seem to be any good free mac friendly programs. oh vel, back to sneak using furnish on my work pc (shhh, don't tell...)
This is the same one offered by Bo. In my humble opinion, it's worth exactly what you pay for it. Bleah.
Good idea, badly executed. It's easy to draw a room to proper size, but then you're limited to Bo's selection of furniture -- and the dimensions of those pieces can't be changed.
i still use Sims 2 to create and furnish my apartment in 3D ;P
