Stephanie sends a tip she shared on her own blog, Fabulously Green. Hotel Surplus buys furniture/accessories from hotels that are redecorating or liquidating. Excess inventories, discontinued items and close outsfrom manufacturers, wholesalers and warehouses are all fair game. One of Stephanie's readers even sent a link to a similar outfit in Denver. While a lot of it is a little too hotel, Stephanie gives some great advice on re-imagining many pieces. It looks like the armoires and the mirrors are the best deals. Thanks Stephanie! Does anyone know of a similar surplus company near NYC? aaron

This USA today article lists some hotel liquidates in other states. (no New York, though)
I used to go to that website constantly and then get bummed cause it's on the west coast. WISH there was one in the NYC area.
You can find a bunch online if you run a search for hotel liquidators. This one is in New Haven - much closer to nyc!

and so we are not concerned with bed bugs any longer?
Would love it if anyone could find this sort of resource near NYC!! tgraves12@yahoo.com
