Instead of a little timer, you could also keep a permanent marker in the kitchen and a roll of maskin tape, and mark on the container the date you opened it/ froze it/ stored it. Less waste- cheaper- better.
The John Houshmand credenza pictured above is amazing.
Although I'm salivating over the design of John Houshmand's pieces, the prices are a turn off. I'm not *trying* to get all high & mighty and be difficult, but can't help but think that a +$19k credenza is a big fat waste of money. There's a lot of good in this world that could be done with that dough. It's conspicuous consumption imho.

Yeah, but you can always argue that money spent on any luxury good would be better used to feed the hungry and solve the world's problems. It probably would... but if I were in an income bracket where $20,000 for a credenza were no big deal, my, that one would tempt me.
