Folding chairs can be a smart addition to small spaces when it becomes necessary to have extra seating on hand. Just last week, I pulled out my own orange metal folding chairs from IKEA to seat some guests for an Easter brunch. Here at AT, we've shared lots of options for Folding & Stacking Chairs, including Top Ten: Folding Chairs, Olivia Folding Chairs, and a Folding Chair Poster. Today, The New York Times shares their own list and we've pulled some of our favorites after the jump...

The folding chairs my grandmother bought back in the 30s are still being used a couple generations later...

I have a set of four hard clear plastic chairs that I love. I found them at Target and worked great in my tiny apartment.
