Yessir, H&H swung back into action yesterday with a mouthwatering issue (at least for us) filled with a lot of great resources. Here's the run down. And don't just go by what we think, put in your own opinion.
TOP STORIES
- Mortgage-in-Laws: Penelope Green (stolen away from the Real Estate section) hits the bullseye with this detailed story about how two brothers and their wives put their money together, bought a townhouse in Brooklyn and kitted it out beautifully. Very lucky one is president of BDDW. Very nice slideshow.
- A Man for All Details: Leland D. Stone has found a BIG niche taking care of all the complicated house and home problems that dog the wealthy. This guy is a trip and has a fascinating knowledge of the arcane along with a super-detail oriented approach to problem solving. Check out his website at Stonestandard.com.

1. Loved the Slope home, but not so much all the product placement.
2. What color do you think that one wall is in the pictured kitchen? Very pretty.
You that pear picture in the kitchen? Where have I seen it? I can't think and I need one.
loved the paint-it-black teen response
and like others have mentioned, really *over* the crass business ads masked as home stories
or maybe I should see that as a Brechtian thing - the home section breaking out from behind the fourth wall and all that, no illusion about this being anything but commerce.
feh.
on that topic, link to the wonderful muschamp article from sunday by clicking on my name. somewhere buried in those 5000+ words are a few on 'audience', and the difference between participants and customers.
I looooove apartment therapy. love it love it love it. but one thing: why are you wasting your precious space with new york times homes section? everyone who reads this blog has already read it. I feel cheated.
