I live in Fort Greene, and a good amount of my furniture has come from stoop sales. They're especially good for "project" furniture, i.e. cheap tables, chairs, cupboards, etc you can try your craft projects on, and if the result is awful, no harm no foul because you only spent $10 on that coffee table, anyway.
