Name: KG
Location: Serres, Greece
My husband and I live in a 90-square metres (1000 sq feet) apartment, in the last, fourth level of an apartment-house, in Serres, Macedonia, Greece. We are owners of it and moved here from centre of the city in 2006. The apartment is filled with sunshine which is a big issue for me. As you can see we enjoy a wonderful, open-air view. The apartment is painted in off-white, except the green office and fuchsia main bedroom. There are in total: an entrance, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an office and a big living-dining-kitchen room. We tried to create a cozy, warm home, where we desire to come after a busy day.

Beautiful apartment! Sunshine and fresh air are important to me also, so I envy your exposure.
Thanks for sharing.

P. S. Love the colors in your bedroom.

Hi, I also have the same flowers in my bedroom (IKEA). I've been trying to decide on a paint color for the wall, love the fuchsia wall, I may "bite the bullet" and go for bold.

I love the colors, but my word, that bedspread has GOT. TO. GO. Nice apartment overall, though.

Can I just say I love that KG seems to be watching Warner Bros. cartoons?

Agree with Taritac.

A lesson can be learned from KG and her use of colors, regardless if the apartment is your style. Splashes of color here and there liven the space, create a mood and unite the areas. Particularly in this economy, it is cost effective to make these little changes to a room. Little changes do not have to be expensive yet can help to make us feel happier in our surroundings.
Wishing you a brightly colored day,

I actually kind of like the bedspread.
I don't know the national or cultural origins of those who thought the textile was tacky, but I, a North American, often think my country's designer echelon thinks a bit narrow about what does and doesn't work in design. Why nitpick at the bedspread and not at the, perhaps, mismatched size of the dresser or the, perhaps, mismatched value of the orange in the poppies? I think it all works together quite nicely. There's always something to complain about if you look for it.
The place beckons, "Mediterranean," to me, and I'd enjoy being in the space.

I think it's a typical modern greek appartment with Ikea notes that try to give it the feel of a funky hotel but without sacrificing the original cheap taste -- yes the bed cover has to go. (I'm greek and living in Greece.)

Why exactly did this thing find its way in house tours?

This looks like the "before" apartment on an HGTV home makeover show.

I agree...ditch the bedspread!
HOWEVER....I love the use of geranium red thoughout the home! What a nice happy color.

Re: bedroom photo...
May I suggest you paint the bureau grass green?

I have these flowers in my kitchen. I can't get them to stick properly with the tape provided from IKEA. I'm about ready to super glue them to the wall.
