House Call: Paul's Niagara Falls Home

9-25-niagara-falls-1.jpg

Paul, a reader from Niagara Falls, New York sent us pictures of his home that shows off his collection of Mid Century furnishings: "A little history; I began collecting mid-century modern about seven years ago. Almost everything in my collection are from estate sales and antiques dealers in western New York State, primarily Buffalo and Rochester. Almost everything is vintage with the exception of a few furniture pieces and some textiles. My home is a two-flat built in 1939..."

I love this home, but especially the recessed window with the funky glassware!

Great photos of a fun interior! Thanks for sharing, Paul. I'm right down the road from you in Buffalo and totally share the love of all things mid-century modern. I also love the flat roof on your double. A total change from the typical WNY doubles.

How refreshing to see someone actually keep their mid-century, kitchen cabinetry and embrace the pink! What a great place.

I look at your place and think, "How can anyone live with just one style?" Then I remember that practically everything I have in my place is either mission or arts & crafts circa 1900.

Your place is colorful, bright and airy. I really love your building too.

I absolutely loved the kitchen. Completely different from the today's prevalent aesthetic. It may simply be vintage, but it came across as very original.
