Floor Sample Serving Tray at Daily Danny

02.05.seo.jpg

We often end up with so many finish samples that we don't know what to do with them. At some point, they aren't useful in our library anymore, but we hate to throw them out. That's why we loved seeing this little tray at Danny Seo's blog.

At Seo's Daily Danny, he shows of this project using a spare piece of flooring sample. To make a serving tray out of it, he has simply (and ingeniously) fixed pull handles to either side of the sample. And voila! A useful and pretty tray.

what a great idea! this could be done with kitchen cabinet doors that would otherwise be dumpster-bound. you could easily spruce up the doors as you wish, add lovely handles, and voila! keep, give, or sell!

I have a cushioned bench that I use as a coffee table. I should make one of these.
