ICFF 2006: Houshmand, Carnegie & Central Station

(This is also from Insta-Reporter P2!)

John Houshmand
Modern meets organic. One gorgeous hunk of wood is encased in thick slabs of glass to create a table that holds its own despite its apartment-friendly scale.

Carnegie
Sexy sheers, lush velvets and open work grids in subdued metallics and bright saturated colors made up the gorgeous textile display from Carnegie. Even orange looked fresh when paired with their bright white velvet.

Central Station
In a David Rockwell-esque design, Central Station creates a highly geometric presence from the repeated organic shapes of driftwood. I could build a whole beach-chic apartment around these lamps.

I thought we had to call that color "saffron." : )

The John Houshmand table is amazing. [But when I read "gorgeous hunk of wood encased in thick slabs..." I wasn't sure if you were describing the table or describing your Saturday night exploits.]
