Friends Kim Nadel and Margaret Lydecker were at the show with a number of new pieces, the most notable of which were these new stools, which have been written up a lot lately. Made from reclaimed walnut and steel, they are as solid as it gets but light on the eye.

James Murphy
James has come a long way since we first met him at his debut two years ago! Aiming for the high end, he showed off two new pieces: Halo Table (White oak and cararra marble with a black lacquer finish) and Stapleton bench (American black walnut with black lacquered legs and a topstitched white leather cushion). They are available through Karkula in NYC.

Square Root Studio
Tim Wall is from Brooklyn, and we found him out on the edge of the show in a very cool little precinct with some very creative designers. His Fold stool was his new baby. Made from a single piece of wood and a simple pattern, Fold is one continuous line. "fold is lightweight, durable, and can be dressed up or down."

That James Murphy bench is DREAMY.
So elegant.
And James was a TOTAL sweetie! So gracious, so genuine, so low key, but so obviosuly in love with what he does.
Had the pleasure of meeting him-- a huge AT fan!-- this ICFF.
Great pieces. And I love the lamp in pic # 1. Any idea where it can be found?
I had the pleasure of learning the fine skills of woodworking from James Murphy. Such a great guy and his work shows loads of passion.
That Tim Wall does some really fine work. I sat in those chairs/stools at ICFF, and was amazed at how comfortable they were - It was the only relief my hemroids had all week. No joke. Say word...WORD!
