We've always been drawn to Koi's thick leather chairs on wire bases that remind us of Eames or Saarinen. This year we found Koi's founders, Kirstin Jones and Adam Bottomley, out of their booth and swooped in to take some artful pics. Our favorite piece this year was the stainless steel based bar stool with stitched saddle leather.

In addition to their seating, we really liked this twisted wood screen that they used to decorate the back of their booth. Using thin strips of bendable veneer wood and brass screws the twists were simple, but taken all together, made for a very impressive form. This would be a good DIY to copy.

I love that screen, love it. WHen I see things like that, though, I need to envision myself dusting it as well, though. Looks like a great DIY though....

Yup, me too. Thought it was a hot dog. You know, the really tasty ones they sell outside Macy's by Union Square. Or the ones at Top Dog. Just seeing that seat made me hungry. And it's 9:00 am, almost.

Love that stool... this is probably a dumb question, but how would I buy a pair of those stools? Does anyone know any US retailers, or is this a trade-only kind of thing?
