Danish Modern Planters

05.08.planter1.jpg

We're inspired by several Danish modern planters we've seen recently. They're all planters plus something else, and they all manage to bring a structured touch of outdoors in, in a very beautiful fashion.

This Swedish planter/table, pictured up top, is by an unknown designer.

This rosewood planter by Arne Vodder is what caught our eye in the first place.

And this one's just a planter, but check out those legs!

So beautiful...I grew up in a midcentury ranch house that had built-in bookshelves/planters flanking the entrance to the living room. Does anyone else remember those?

They are extremely graceful, and I love them. But every vintage one I've ever seen has bad water damage. If only they had better sealants back then...

Like Alisong, I also remember those mid-century platers fondly. My grandparent's ranch had huge brick planters that were beautiful just inside their front door. I wish I had the space for something like them in my 50's cottage.

These cool little planters are great though!
