Decorate with Numbers: 10 Favorite Numerical Accessories

This is a trend that has seemed to have had some staying power. And while you wouldn't necessarily want every object in your home numbered, a little numerical decorating can be a good thing. Our favorites here are the French influenced items such as the cafe glasses and dessert plates. Just for fun, we stuck one rather expensive item in the mix. Can you spot which item retails for nearly $300?

Did you guess that Number 7 was the most expensive accessory of the bunch? These rustic tin boxes are from the Pottery Barn where they retail for nearly $300!

BTW, those "rustic" tins can be had for a lot less at surplus stores. They are ammo containers.

Good eye - When my dad was in the military, he brought surplus ammo boxes like these home to hold his tools...

...so not worth $300.

The tins are sweet, and I love the actual, $16 source! I find the letterpress prints by Green Chair Press really adorable and just posted a few of my favorites on my blog this morning:

Then, someone pointed out that two closely resemble vintage book covers, and now I'm less enamored of them... Bummer.

@visualingual: There's some irony to Green Chair Press's appropriation, considering Benjamin's most famous essay is "Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction." :D
