Sucking in all that is good about this city, we have been getting more and more pics from readers around town. This one is from Matt, who has the MET all tied up due to the time he spends there as a guard (isn't it good to know someone on the inside?).
The lobby of the Met: this week there are beautiful plum blossoms. They look like hot pink popcorn popping open through the week.
It was he who suggested sharing the beautiful weekly flowers that are supported by a flower endowment.

Excuse my ignorance but where can one find these "plum blossoms". Are they expensive?
I see them at the shops on the UES towards Madison, and outside in buckets in the flower district, but I imagine you will need to ask your florist to get them in. They are sold at the flower markets, so if you have a florist that goes there often you should be able to get what you ask for...
