...which is made up of architects Tom Hanrahan and Victoria Meyers. The light space is achieved through pale material choices like white ash and white-lacquered cabinetry. We love the minimal white tones overlaid on rich materials like woods, natural metals, and glass tiles. The result is something like fog - a calm, quiet atmosphere.

most notable about this to me is not the white but the lack of clutter. color seems to often be confused with clutter.

This is beautiful.

The wood floor and center cut tree trunk countertop inject an organic tone to the otherwise sterile environment.

Ash is too soft of a wood to use as flooring but it looks cool.

Not true, icenet. Growing up, I had ash floors in my bedroom and they were (are) bitchin'.
