SuperCool. We blogged the arrival of this book months ago, but only had a chance to get our hands on one this past weekend. If you love houses, home design, remote locations, funky solutions, doing-it-yourself and lots and lots of photographs, this is pure manna from heaven.
Lloyd Khan, who was the shelter editor of the Whole Earth Catalog, put together a book called Shelter over 25 years ago that inspired people all around the globe to build their own homes.
Now, years later, Homework ($18) is his follow up. With over 1,000 photos and stories of people building and living in their own houses, he has created a virtual encyclopedia of hand built homes. He has also documented the work of people who were inspired by his first book.
