Roxycat, I don't know the flowers, but the image is from Sunset magazine's May (i think) issue. THey might have text on their site referencing the image....

Those are Coral Bells--Heuchera. They can tolerate a little shade! The seed catalogs now all seem to have cultivars with fancy-colored leaves. This is the classic version.
