Wallpaper can be expensive and tricky to hang, but this is a great alternative to add a little life to your home. And don't feel like you have to take over an entire space. The idea works for an accent wall, an entryway or “hard to hang walls” like B-board or thin drywall.

Nice. Reminds me of the work of Joan Miro.

I love the idea of painting your own wallpaper...Here's one of my favorite examples:

I am also a big fan of newspaper wallpaper...talk about cheap and green:

I like it! Maybe not in my space (a rental, sigh), but it's such a sweet idea.

How about stenciling on wallpaper, for those who are not super artistically inclined. I'll post on it tomorrow at MODERnestS :)

well good to see this post... I recently painted my room and wanted a wall decal but I couldnt afford to buy one of the really cool ones I liked from around the net so I got some contact paper and made my own in one wall it turned out to be MUCH better than expected.
Good thing is that when I get tired of it I can totally remove it. That is always a plus.
Check it out HERE.

Love the idea of creating your own wall paper... but not really feeling the above design.
I think the comment is a GREAT idea though.
