Jamie Theakston's Quirky London Town House
Living Etc

This London town house is the home of British radio and television host Jamie Theakston. It's a pretty grand space with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a study, and a kitchen with a walk-in pantry. Lately we've been drawn to more eclectic spaces, and this certainly fits the bill. Jamie is an eBay fanatic, and much of the home is filled with his finds. An "armchair shopper," Jamie estimates that 95 percent of the furnishings were found online. We love that collection of commemorative royal plates on the wall in the dining room.

5 That amazing Venini chandelier was found at Decoratum.

Beautiful but very somber and even a bit depressing. If I lived in London I'd add a lot of color like that "small cool" contest entrant Catherine (?) did.

I adore the Venini chandelier in the stairwell - i wish they had better photos of the bedrooms though.

What exactly makes this "quirky"? It was a bit dreary IMO.

Beautifully done...doesn't have to have color to be quirky.

Beautiful! When I'm rich, this will be my house... even if I have to drag out Jamie, screaming.

With all the various collections of things....the whole space has a surprising open feeling. I love the architecture and furniture more than the collections.

I like this place. I'm not sure why people think this home looks dreary. I see lots of color here.

Needs an accent wall! In orange! And a WALL DECAL! Quick, let's go to Ikea!

*slaps self!*

Whew, that was weird. Okay! Wait, where am I?

Oh yeah, it's a very personal and attractive home.
