Ugh. These would look so bad in a normal kitchen.

hmmm... not a good look IMHO.

Not to mention I could never commit to something like this- I change my mind too easily. I want to be able to move things around and redesign at any moment!

I thought those were boxes for cheap 99 cent store quality perfume or cosmetics until I looked closer!

I prefer my appliances to be as unobtrusive as possible - not the center of attention.

Agreed on the perfume box comment... I could see this being really cool if executed well, but these just aren't.

Anyone else reminded of that show Boy Meets World? There was an episode where the older brothers were looking for an apartment and one of their requirements was an avocado colored fridge.

Oh my, that 2nd one from the left looks like a bad sympathy card.

These are a hoot, but no....no....no

These are hideous.

I support colored refrigerators but this is just stupid. Those examples remind me of the cheesy flash emails I get from my grandma. I could see having like a crazy colorful and bright kitchen with maybe a pattern on the fridge, like the zebra print, but not an actual picture. And that could only look cool in the crazy over the top kitchens anyway.

I like them. Especially that skyline one in the second picture. They'd have to be in the right kitchen setting but in the right place they'd be stunning. Kitchen appliances are boring -anything that spruces them up and makes them interesting is fine by me. It's no different to decorating your walls or doors.

That on with the rose and the music notes looks like a Trapper Keeper I used to have in the early 90's.

I like the idea of a well decorated fridge. The only one I've seen that I really liked was a black on black design on amanacolor.com. Some of the other designs there look like bad 70's decor. Nonetheless, I'd want something removable.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... if you want to customize your appliances, use contact paper! Of course it's much easier to get a patterned look than a "vista"/5-foot flower style with contact paper, but if you realize you don't like it, you're only out $5-10.

Also, for those who like this kind of thing, some of the pics on the website are a lot more attractive than the ones in this post.

The website says that all products are available with glitter. Of course they are. Glitter always adds that special something.

@zamumlala:

Glitter, hunh? *sniffs* How chintzy. If this were my contact-paper 80's-era-Trapper-Keeper design, it'd come with rhinestones, damn it.

I like the idea of decorated fridges... I just hate these ones. The rose one on the extreme right looks like it would belong to someone who'd seen 'Twilight' 200 times. Blech.

Genuine LOL.

I would add a glitter dew drop on the rose.

I wonder if one person squeezes the glue bottle and another follows, using only a pinch of glitter at a time (as we were taught in school).

I saw my neighbor carry their old fridge to the curb and had to walk closer to verify that it was a MIRRORED fridge! How glam!!!

I immediately had to google it:

perhaps if they had some cool design, like some lovely wallpapers have, then they could go somewhere with it. The rose one reminds me of teenage romance, the rest of them are just tacky too.
I think my husband would have a heart attack if he saw one of these in our kitchen

Westinghouse did this in the 60s. Watch this hilarious YouTube video:

You have to get past the intro before you start seeing the glorious, psychedelic-paneled fridges.
