What Are You Sinking About?

When I came across the Gin and Titonic ice cube tray, I was reminded of this Berlitz ad, which is one of the funnier things the internet has provided. Now that it's so cold outside, you don't even need a freezer to make sinking objects of your own, but the use of these ice trays will certainly increase the fun.

I love the gin & titonics, though I don't have them yet. My husband and I were given false teeth ice cube trays for our wedding. He can't use them--they completely gross him out. But I think they're funny: http://www.giftideas.co.uk/gifts/frozen-smile-ice-cube-tray.html

most of the silicone ones can also be used for baking -- i would love some cheese cracker tetriminos!

Oh, I have the cool jewels and the lego ice cube trays! I actually used them to mold chocolate (white, milk, and dark chocolate baking chips) into legos and jewels as favors for my wedding. They looked amazing and everyone loved them. I got the idea from one of the comments on lego's site.

I gave a bunch of these as stocking stuffers for my cousins last year. They even have molds to make frozen shot glasses.

I use funky ice trays to make cool-looking jello shots. We use ko-jel since we're vegetarian, but I've gotten non-veggies into it since it sets up well enough to pop out of an ice tray, which gelatin-based ones don't.

FWIW...

I used the Jewel one for a party, Had about 30 people over. Not a single person noticed. It was a let down.

I'm sorry.... but I think alcohol is much more poisonous to the body than non-vegetarian jello...

as it turns out, ice can be used with non-alcoholic drinks. though, an occasional drink does the body good.

Ice cubes are impossible to get out of these trays. I have the Eiffel Tower and the Arch de Triomphe, and I have yet to get a cube out in one piece. Maybe there's some trick I don't know about?

HILARIOUS. This reminds me of how my husband and I went crazy over the U-Boat Mold-O-Rama at Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry. We lost it off our dashboard & out the window one summer!

We have been giving these out as gifts, I especially love the idea you can bake with them. Little ice invaders cakes!

Even after the explanation I still didn't recognize the second one. Of course my dirty mind was trying to see something else...

I've seen the false teeth cubes and they were hilarious! I'll be buying them for my husband's next birthday party :)
