Wine Storage Pegs by Ernestomeda

Wine storage solutions that put the bottles on display are always appealing. And this is no exception: it's a Plinko-style peg wall that cantelivers the bottles off of the wall...

By modular kitchen manufacturer Ernestomeda, the Barrique kitchen style features this beautiful wine storage wall. It looks like the pegs are made of wood that projects out from a wood backsplash. We're sitting on this one, trying to figure out how to DIY it someday.

It looks great, but having your wine collection out exposed to the light like that isn't going to be doing it any favours.

Looks great, but if you really cared about preserving the wine, you wouldn't store it that close to your windows and cooking surface.

sharp looking but....

storing wine above a hot stove. not a good idea. think heat and grease. a few bottles fine... but this is just silly for a cellar solution.

love this system's look but not in either location pictured.

Plinko is the game I hope to play if I ever get called down to contestant's row on the Price is Right.

Back to the topic at hand, I agree with the other posters. If anything, these pegs are better suited to storing bottled sparkling water and fancy soda waters.

I see infinite possibilities with pattern and texture in this cool contraption, but the problem is that in order to *do* the patterns, you need to have a *lot* of wine. Which probably implies that you care a bit about how it's kept, which would rule out this system. Also, how do you get to the top bottles?

The other issue I have is keeping the thing clean--I can only imagine what greasy dust would accumulate after a while. Perhaps both problems could be solved by installing this system in a glass cabinet? Back lit?? World's most chi-chi Lite Brite?

Right. Time for more coffee, clearly!
