A wreath on the door or around a candle at the table. That, we're used to. But what about these wreaths hanging on kitchen cupboards?...

They're fragrant bay leaf wreaths adorned with kumquats. We're charmed but aren't quite sure what to make of their location on the cupboard doors. What do you think? Do they belong or do they need to find their way back to the front door? Where do you hang wreaths come holiday time in your home? Anywhere unexpected?

These are pretty for the holidays ... would not want them in the kitchen year-round, of course. They might be even more practical on those upper cabinets, which probably are not as frequently opened.
Sometimes we put wreaths on interior (bedroom, closet) doors, or on the (interior) chimney.

I have wooden bi-fold closet doors in the bedroom that I have just cheap artificial wreaths ($10ish ones) during the holidays. I was quite impressed with how well it dressed up a boring closet door.

I don't mind the wreaths on the cupboard doors - my aunt always hangs a bay leaf wreath in her kitchen during the holidays and uses a few of the bay leaves for cooking after they've dried.
I usually hang a wreath over the large mirror above our fireplace.

I think they look great. I'll probably try this idea this season

We have an open plan kitchen/living space and I think the wreaths would look great.
