We recently came across these canisters at Bed Bath and Beyond, and they are definitely our favorite kitchen canister to date. They're the Yohki glass canister by Bodum. The look is very pared down, almost like lab glass.

The Yohki has a nice silicon seal at the top, holding the stainless steel lids on tightly. The canisters come in a range of sizes: from 20oz. all the way up to 68oz. And they range in price from $10 to $25.
We saw them here.
Pretty - must look for these for my cabinet makeover.

I have a set of these and the last thing I see is the logo. The Bodum logo is fairly small and really I can't think of the last time I noticed it. I have about 8 of them - Large (spaghetti and cereal) and small (sugar, lentils, etc.) and its fairly nondescript.
Cheers!

is the top of the lid flat? it kind of looks like there is a lip, as though it 'cups' (for lack of a better word)

This is another one of those things that look great when displayed in a certain way, but the reality might not be quite so attractive. I have clear containers in the kitchen and they look good when they are 2/3 to completely full, but look rather less nice as they are emptied. Imagine that cannister of beans down to about 1//6 of its capacity.
Since it isn't really a good idea to re-fill until you empty the container (as you'd be leaving really old food at the bottom or you'd have to dump it out, re-fill, then dump the old stuff on top), clear cannisters are bound to spend some time with the dregs in the bottom.
I guess it's no problem if you store your cannisters out of sight, but that rather defeats the purpose of buying stylish cannisters!

I have these as well. You can also get them at the Container Store. The lid does 'cup' so that allowing you to stack them.

i hate the logo as well. good design is always destroyed by branding imho. anywho...try using a sugarcube to "sand" away the logo. It seems to work on some cellphones as well when you want to get rid of "verizon" "LG" and what not. good luck.

I think the logo is etched on the glass.
Bodum does BEAUTIFUL work. Would these be better than the similar ones from IKEA? (I have several from IKEA I'm happy with).
