Artemide's Tolomeo Wall-mount

02-06-tolomeo2.jpg

For bedtime reading we just can't beat the Wall-mounted Tolomeo by Artemide. The basic lamp provides ample light, the arm allows lots of flexibility, and wall-mounting it all keeps it right at your fingertips without cluttering up your bedside table.

If you already have the Tolomeo desk or floor lamp, a wall mount can be purchased for only about $40.

I have the desk lamp with the clamp. Can someone tell me how much the actual desk plate would cost? The clamp isn't practical in my home and chews up whatever I clamp it to.

Thanks.

Yes, but I do believe that the actual lamp will set you back around $300.

You can purchase replacement parts for your Tolomeo directly from Artemide (click my name for the link). Prices for the base vary from $65 to $100 depending on the size lamp you have.

I completely covet the wall mount Tolomeo, but alas, I had to buy light fixtures for an entire house and the price (x2) was SO not within my meager budget. I ended up mcguyvering a couple of $6.99 ikea desk lamps into hardwire, wall mount fixtures

And oh how I would give my eyeteeth for the Tolomeo Mega.

are there any other cheaper alternatives - a $150/lamp seems expensive
