Balloon Lamp

They're light and bright: the balloon lamp is made of a standard rubber balloon and an LED light. They're available for $26 at Realm Dekor. The LED light provides bright illumination while giving off hardly any heat - the light can be on for 100 consecutive hours. The balloon provides the perfect diffusion for this bright light. Grouping these in a balloon bouquet could be cute in a kid's room or a single white one might fit in over your dining table.

The problem might be that the track lights would turn to "recessed" if the room was too cold...

is the light kit only good for 100 hrs. or can you purchase a new battery/balloon and use the same kit?

Doesn't the balloon deflate over time? Do you have to constantly switch out the balloon every couple days?

I have one. I got it in Japan. It is really cool and I love the whimsical and simple idea of a balloon lamp, I also like the idea of using different colored balloons if I want to. However I don't know if there's something wrong with mine because it deflates after a couple of hours! i would have to reflate it 3 times to make it last an evening. Oh well.

Also, it's powered by two watch batteries so when they die you can just get a replacement at a drug store.
