Habitat's Numbers Ceiling Shade

4-5-numbers1.jpg

Swoon! As a graphic designer and design enthusiast we must express our love for the Numbers Ceiling Shade from the UK's Habitat. Part of Habitat's children's collection, the ceiling lamp is only £29. Another color scheme after the jump...

If you live in a country that does not have a Habitat store (e.g. the US), they will ship to you. I've never done it myself, but I understand it's possible. I'm dying for them to put in a store here! I know there's Conran and Ikea, but Habitat fits that nice little niche right between the two. Maybe we should start a petition at AT... O.K. not really. But it seems to me they're missing out on a great market for themselves here in the US.

I'd love to see this as an art print or a textile (me: also a designer/type nerd). Is it made by Habitat? Or is another company in charge of the application?

Holly in DC - If you go to www.maharam.com and look through the "Textiles of the 20th Century" binder you will find an Alexander Girard fabric that has a similar look, as well as a letter fabric by Andersen
