There's something interesting and unexpected about industrial lighting in a house. Even if you're lucky enough to find a vintage gas station or factory light, it doesn't always fit your space, and it could be rusted or perilously wired. We found a family-run company that makes new lights in a staggering amount of shapes, sizes and finishes that can add an industrial look to your kitchen, porch or anywhere in your house...

Hi-Lite Mfg Co. is a family-run business out of southern California that's been in business for 50 years. They manufacture everything themselves, giving them the flexibility to customize all of their lighting.
Many of Hi-Lite's lights are rated for outdoor use and all are inexpensive -- most lights are between $100 and $150, and several are amazingly under $100.

Here are only a fraction of the finishes and colors available for most of the lights, and you can mix and match the fixtures with different wall and ceiling mounts.

One of our favorites, the bucket light comes one of two ways: with a wire guard, or just plain as a bucket. It would also look great in white or yellow. And it's only $99.

dumb question - but if it's rated for outdoor use, is it still ok to use it inside?
I know - probably a really dumb question!

Butt-ugly! Sorry but that bucket just don't cut it. Might as well hang a garbage bag from your ceiling.

Still laughing, just noticed the $99 price tag. Give me a break!

Yes Manago -- rated for outdoor use still lets you use them inside. It's the other way around that starts to cause problems.

Thanks for this resource--I've been scouring online lighting stores for a unique exterior porch light and there were several that I liked from here. I like how sturdy that look and they are priced right.
