Joel Degermark's Cluster Lamp

Just Bulbs. We're huge fans of Dutch design collective Moooi and we've recently become aware of designer Joel Degermark's series of Cluster Lamps. The Cluster series (pendant, sconce, and table lamp) highlights the varied selection of light bulbs available...

Though we couldn't locate a U.S. retailer that currently carries Cluster Lamps, Nest and StylePark sell them and we suspect a U.S. retailer will soon!

I am not keen on the design of it but I love the mirrored light bulbs. I have bunch of them in the bathroom, it seems like I had them for years now. They are impossible to find anywhere anymore. I think last time I saw them at IKEA but they don't carry them now.

Tyson -- There was a post on crown-silvered bulbs last year. Maybe this will help you find them: http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/ny/lighting/best-product-crown-bulbs-000701

The mirrored bulbs can be bought at Just Bulbs on 15th(?) Street in Manhattan, which is what I thought this post was going to be about. The are also available lots of places online, including bulbs dot com

Looks better lit up in the dark, in 3rd photo. But in other shots of it in daylight, it looks more like an eyesore.

kdkaboom,

you could probably cobble one together as a DIY project.

We actually carry Moooi at YLighting; I had asked them about this fixture specifically awhile back- as it is currently wired, it is not suitable for use in the US. Please do not buy overseas and simply replace the bulbs with 110V US ones as you run the risk of fire. From what I understand, the wiring is not suitable for the amperage that would run though it when used with US voltage- basically, voltage and amperage are inversely related, so when you lower the voltage (from European 220V to US 110V), you double the amperage and this fixture's wiring can't handle that load. Hopefully they will have a US model one day- I'll let you know if/when it comes out.

Yet another case of something looking better with the lights off.
