Meridian Table Lamps

11-28-meridian3.jpg
We originally saw these pillar table lamps at Calypso Home and were attracted at once to the detailed, colorful patterning on the shade. We then found them at Design Public, YLighting and 2 Modern, where they are pictured blank, and you can choose from a number of patterned shades.

We then discovered that the lamps come from a collection called Lights Up! designed by Rachel Simon and Jesse James with silk shade fabrics designed by Thomas Fernez of ThomasPaul. Clean shapes! Beautiful textiles! This is a lovely new partnership and a great addition to the lighting family. There are three sizes, eleven fabrics and prices run from $75-$140.

Gracious Home and 2modern.com also carry the hanging drum shade lights of the same design.

I really like the hanging drum shades, but have not been able to find a decent ceiling fixture and cord (checked in Home Depot and Lowe's, where they basically wanted me to use a chain to disguise ugly wiring). Does anyone have suggestions as to how I'd find just a decent-looking cord to attach to a ceiling canopy (like in the pic Meva posted)?

Fiona--
Try Alluminare, which seems to have the cords you're looking for. They also have "stems" (hard conduit through which the cord runs) which I think end up even cleaner.

Thanks, Patrick! Turns out that it comes with cord and canopy, but it's just mentioned way down the page, underneath some images and separated from other copy.

However, I also want to try that knockoff of the DWR Random lamp, so your link was helpful!
