NY Good Questions: Information On This Chandelier?

7.8lamp.jpgDear AT,

Can anyone identify this chandelier?

I seem to have brilliant chandeliers on my mind.

I identified one by Gio Ponti, made for Venini in 1946, but I can't place the more "bejeweled" one.

Does anyone know this lamp?

Thanks! Sara

Uh, what more bejeweled one? It says the one in the image is Ponti:

okay, this is a bit cavemanish, because there is not a direct url:
go to

click on
interiors
scroll down to Montague Terrace
the light fixture I would love to identify is in a bedroom with turquoise sofa, chair, bed.

you will probably enjoy the rest of the house, it belongs to one of the wonders at Remodelista.

thanks everyone, it was the "Present Time Design" light I was wondering about, the Gypsy Chandelier. Now, anyone know about the candelabra/sconces that are dipped in latex or rubber? Very colorful also. No idea who makes them.

Tobias Wong started that trend:
"Finally we’re photographing the Tobias Wong chandelier. This little chandelier started out in life as a Schonbek, and then Tobias Wong coated it with industrial white rubber, leaving just one crystal uncoated as a witty comment on the proceedings. So we really have to call it a Tobias Wong, but it’s amusing to know that’s there’s a Schonbek under all that rubber."

I still haven't found any that are colorful that are covered with rubber. Here's a huge page showing many places that the Wong chandelier was featured in:
