This one-of-a-kind chandelier graces the entrance to San Antonio's new branch of the Culinary Institute of America. The new Center for Foods of the Americas (that's what the CFA stands for) was founded to promote Latin American cuisine and will open in 2009. The Pandelier was designed, fabricated and installed by Robert Diaz De Leon of San Antonio's Flux Metal Shop...

A work of art to be sure! I'm just wondering what the light source is?

Oh my gosh! I work for the graphic design firm in San Antonio that does the design for the entire Pearl Brewery (the area that CFA is in), we also hired Robert to create this amazing piece of art. We all absolutely LOVE the pandelier and I was so freaked out when I saw it in AT.
Congrats Robert on a beautiful design.

San Antonio is in the process of becoming cool... slowly but surely!

Reminds me of the 1958 Artichoke lamp by Henningsen.
