Lovely, but too bad the shade isn't included. A classy shade can be a wee bit pricey.

It's the finial that really punctuates this lamp, actually. There are probably other shades that might do more for that lamp, but its quite a good-looking lamp that would go nicely in all kinds of places.

Huh, I really like this, but was actually thinking I'd like a different shade better. Since I've never made a lamp-to-shade love connection, does anyone have thoughts about what would (wood, ha) look good on this?

Hey, you know, I've actually seen some wood veneer lamp shades, but with the faux-wood porcelain, it might not quite work. Hmmmm....

Am I just crazy in thinking this is not attractive. I mean MAYBE in a very sparse room, but I just can't really picture it. I saw this and thought "guess there's a reason it's so cheap."

I am just not a fan of faux anything! And that whole bowling pin silhouette is just not that hot. Also, I have a hard time imagining how to make this lamp work outside of a log cabin. It's too "rustic" for a formal setting or a modern setting, too drab for a kids room and too kitschy for an urban setting. Perhaps it could possibly work with Danish modern, but the lampshade would have to be really colorful and fun.
