For this week's look into the House Beautiful archives results we've pulled a diverse collection of pics from a flipbook called "Rooms we Love." Each one above is from a slide show below the jump, and we've even pulled out a few good links that stand out in the pics....

As lovely as Lauren Bacall is, I don't think I want her giant face staring at me in my living room...

Love the couch in the first photo.

"...with two African drum tables...", they're called bamileke tables and have nothing to do with drums or drumming.
the bacall print is a bit trippy, but the large eagle/falcon is the kind of thing that would haunt me. i'm easily haunted.

I'm kinda besotted with the couch in the fifth picture, too. If it weren't guarded by a majestic eagle, I'd cyber-swipe it.

You're seriously excited about the back of a blocky beige one-armed sofa?

Yes! It's like beige amphetamine.
And it has two arms, I'll have you know. My tastes are strange, not perverse.

The eagle pic is really......big.

Umm… so, where's the 2nd arm?? I don't see it…
Well, to be honest, these are all a bit stiff and static. Very designer-y. The seating is mostly rather wide-set, as if you don't really want to be THAT close to the others. Or could it be that these LR's are not really used that much?
Beautiful to look at; wonder how they really work. Anyone else feel this way?
