Pinnacle Flat Pack TV Stands by Paul Isabella

We shared SCAD graduate Paul Isabella's Table of Contents design last week and while digging around on his site we found these designs for Flat Pack Television Stands that are superbly simple...

These Flatscreen TV Stands (shown with a welcome jolt of color) won the Pinnacle Design Competition and are supposed to be put into production. With their small footprint, they'd solve the problem many renters have of not being able to mount their TVs on the wall. Keeping a look out for these!

i'm obviously dumb- if that isn't attached to the wall ("they'd solve the problem many renters have of not being able to mount their TVs on the wall")...then how are they supporting the weight of the tv?? =( i feel dumb. lol

I'm assuming it works like a fixed ladder, where the tv, dvd players, etc. provide enough weight to push it against the wall, and the feet have rubber non-slip bottoms. I'd love to see them in person cuz I'm confused too.

yes, I think they work like a ladder. I dunno whether I'd trust my TV to friction like that. Seems like that if they had finished the "S" curve on the bottom, they'd still look cool, and be that much more stable.
