I WANT to think it's cool... but I can't. And I love both Chucks and chairs.

I love Chuck's and I love chairs, but ... not wild about wheelchairs on my chucks, however ... completely ruins the design for me.

It is kind of weird - as if wheelchairs are a fashion accessory...

I'm not seeing wheelchairs, but I'm still not loving the pattern all that much. Besides, for me, it's the very genericity of Converse that I like to start with. It's what I wear to the gym. In black.

These are soooooo not me.

And I sooooooooo want a pair.

But if the shoes are about "chairs" why *not* wheelchairs?

Wait. I think I KIND of see the wheelchairs now. They're pretty subtle in this picture, although the way the pattern falls on any given pair, they could be more prominent.

Personally, I think wheelchairs are kind of a wonderful invention, because -- at least in NYC, where people in wheelchairs can go where ever a city bus can go -- they're a reassurance that if/when one ever needs to be in one, you can still maintain your independence.
