Bridgett wrote in with a question earlier today and included these pics, but they were too good to lose below the fold so we showcase them here. Check out this space! Even though this is a super long and awkward space to design for, we can't stop looking at how much there is. We bet the rent is good too. If only we lived in Toledo. (Thanks, Bridgett!)

I like it very much, a lot of potential to be had there. What's the square footage of that room and the whole apt?
Very nice space!!
Are we talking about Toledo, Ohio?!?!
A great space. I'm envious. good luck with it!
I second Katie's questions - Toledo, Ohio?! My hometown, so that's why I care.
How are they thinking of using the space? I would love to see it done.
I lived in Sylvania, Ohio for awhile and I had a fantastic space above a store. It hardwood throughout and great architectural features (including a fantastic living room with four windows and a bay window overlooking the street). I only paid $300/month (of course this was like 12 years ago). Toledo has some fantastic great apartments. I wish I could remember the name of the area where all the older, Victorian-area homes were.
Jackie, I think you are referring to the Old West End area, which had beautiful old homes. The rest of Toledo was not as inspiring, to say the least.
Yes, it's crazy-cheap here... you're seeing 750 sq feet in the photo, in a great building downtown, for $600/mo. :) A good-sized house can be had for uner $150K. But, for those prices, you have to live in Toledo.
etslee, THANK YOU! When I saw the post that's exactly what I was thinking of. I think the brains are done for today (and it's only 5:30 here. Yikes).
It looks like it's a great space, Bridget. Please post a house tour when you're done! Good luck with the Veuve Clicquot paint! Where are you going to put it?
Wow. I must say that I NEVER thought I'd see my hometown show up on AT.
Thursday nights' episode of Divine Design dealt with a similar, long narrow space and it turned out really well.
Oh man its a Northwest Ohio thing!!!!!!!!!!!!! Toledo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah Toledo's a great city except for the high unemployment and cold climate. When I drive by the homes in DC and see the prices I chuckle because that will get you a mansion in Ohio.....
I live in Toledo, and while my house aspires to be more modern than it is, I think I have taken it as far as I can with two young children. I have lots of friends here too that don't furrow their brow when Nelson, Herman Miller or Saarinen are mentioned. Viva Toledo!
